Two Fairfield County locales were rated among the best Latin American/Spanish cuisine in all the state.
Here are the restaurants that made the cut:
Brasitas, Norwalk: Open seven days a week, Brasitas originated in Stamford in 1999 and expanded to the Norwalk area (430 Main Avenue) in 2007. The restaurant offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu that’s chock full of traditional and savory options like chorizo, empanadas, flatbreads, steak, seafood and much more.
You can also stop in for Happy Hour, which takes place Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Happy hour specials include $6 cocktails and $3 beers. For more information about Brasitas, visit the website.
Gaudí Tapas and Wine, Danbury: Open for dinner six days a week as well as for Sunday brunch, Gaudí Tapas and Wine features of all your favorite and authentic Latin American and Spanish classics.
“We try to put our soul and our personality into the restaurant,” co-owner Noemi Ruiz told Connecticut Magazine in a Nov. 2018 interview. “Lots of people that come in say that it’s really different, and they feel like they are in another country. That’s actually what we try to do, to give people an opportunity to have an experience that is not only culinary but you get a cultural experience as well.”
Located at 51 1/2 Pembroke Road, Gaudí Tapas and Wine provides a luxurious meal and an equally as elegant atmosphere in which to enjoy it. For more information, visit the website.
